Freedom, Safety & Security

I am thankful that I live in a safe neighborhood, surrounded by trees, sidewalks, and parks. I am thankful that when I wake up each day, my life is not threatened by gunfire and rockets. I am thankful that I have the freedom to criticize the government, travel wherever I want in the country and move anywhere. I am thankful that I can practice any religion I want, without fear of persecution.   I am thankful that our lawmakers are elected by voters, not installed by military officers and that I have a voice in whether they are re-elected or not. I am thankful to be an American.
