The woman with an almost smile
Is always
In search
Of her true
Identity
The essence
Of her being
That she isn’t
Supposed to know about.

Waits calmly
As time passes
By
In the other direction
During rush hour traffic
On the 405 freeway.
 
The woman with an almost smile
Lets all her colors show—
Tears her hair out
When frustrated
Cries her eyes out
